Is it normal for the home screen to show "connecting" at the bottom of the screen continuously? The manual implies that it should be the carrier name or I'd have thought "connected. It seems to be working fine but it doesn't seem right and may be chewing the battery faster than necessary.

Hi,
It is abnormal for the M7750's home screen to display "Connecting" at the bottom; however, this display issue usually does not cause the device to drain its battery faster than necessary. You may try restarting the M7750 to see if that helps.

If the same phenomenon persists, please provide more details for analysis.
  1. Please send us a picture of the M7750's home screen.
  2. Please log in to the M7750's web UI and send us a screenshot of the Status page.

  3. Who is your SIM card provider?

Best Regards

It’s not normal for the screen to keep showing “Connecting” all the time if the device is already providing internet access. Usually, once the network is stable, it should display the carrier name or a “Connected” status. This could be a minor firmware glitch or a UI refresh issue. You can try restarting the device, checking APN settings, or updating the firmware if a newer version is available.

If everything else is working fine (internet speed, stability), it’s not a critical issue—but yes, it may slightly impact battery usage over time.

Also, if you’re testing streaming performance, you can try reliable apps and services—something like IPTV streaming slotuions can help confirm whether your connection remains stable under continuous usage.
