Throwing cameras in bin

Model: Tapo C125   Tapo C120
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Im just about ready to throw these pile of junk  cameras in the bin. C120 and C125. Clearly a software issue as both are affected.
One after the other they become faulty. Sound quality is terrible and now I'm getting alerts constantly saying my dogs are barking and yet they are sat in the room with me.
I've contacted support who hasn't even bother to reply
The terrible sound has happened about 5 times in the year I've had these cameras.
The dog barking twice each camera.
They are total garbage.
So if anyone has a suggestion of better cameras with sound detection please let me know.

Hi,

We understand how frustrating this situation can be, especially when the issues occur repeatedly across multiple devices.

Regarding the frequent dog barking alerts, you may try adjusting the barking detection sensitivity in the app to see if it reduces false notifications. Environmental sounds or certain frequencies can sometimes trigger alerts, and fine-tuning the sensitivity often helps improve accuracy. For more details, please refer to this Article:What should I do if my Tapo camera triggers false detection?

For the sound quality issue that has occurred multiple times, this would require further investigation. If the issue persists after adjusting the settings, it is recommended to follow up with the support team for a deeper check. If you haven’t received a reply, please try sending another email or contact them via the hotline, which usually ensures a quicker response.

Best Regards,

Ive done all you've said several times.  I've now turned all notifications off which defeats the purpose of having the cameras.
I've contacted support team and they said they sent me firmware updates.  But that works for about a week or two and then it happens all over again.

Hi,
Thank you for your patience, and we understand how frustrating it must be when the issue keeps coming back even after trying all the suggested steps.
Since the support team has already been in touch and provided firmware updates, we recommend continuing to work with them and follow their troubleshooting guidance. Please rest assured that they will do their best to investigate this further and help you.
Your cooperation with their testing steps and feedback will be very important in identifying the root cause.
