Firmware Version: Windows 10

So, I've had this network card for a while and it worked wonders. I mainly used it to connect my PS3 controller to my PC, but I recently got a new controller so I didn't have the need to have the bluetooth drivers for the PS3 controller, so i deleted them. The thing is that I wanted to connect to a bluetooth speaker and I couldn't do it. I checked the bluetooth settings and it said that the bluetooth radio had a driver error. Device Manager showed the bluetooth adapter had a yellow warning sign on the bt logo, the device properties says this:

"Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)."

And the event viewer showed this on the first error it encountered:

"Device USB\VID_13D3&PID_3570\00e04c000001 had a problem starting. Device USB\VID_13D3&PID_3570\00e04c000001 had a problem starting."

I then tried reinstalling the drivers and still the same results. I might've uninstalled other bluetooth drivers by accident, but I want to know what I deleted so I can reinstall it.

This honestly isn't a big deal, but it still icks me that I have something in my PC that doesn't work. Also, the WIFI on the card works perfectly, so no problems in that area.

Hi,

Normally, the incomplete or damaged configuration information should be restored if the device is uninstalled via the Device Manager and then installed again.

If you haven't already tried that, then open the Device Manager, right-click on the "Realtek Bluetooth Adapter", select "Uninstall device" from the menu that opened, in the window that opens click "Uninstall" (verify "Attempt to remove the driver ..." is not selected!). Then click on the icon in the Device Manager's menu bar that appears to resemble a screen with a magnifier (says "Scan for hardware changes" when the mouse pointer is being hovered over it). That should reinstall the "Realtek Bluetooth Adapter" using the driver that still exists within the system. If the error has now disappeared, then you are lucky, if not, then report back here.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I tried this and sadly the problem persists.

The other thing you could try is to do the same again, but this time check the box for "Attempt to remove the driver ...". This will result in Windows either installing another still existing driver or asking you to provide a driver (so you point it to the location where you extracted the driver from TP-Link to).

If this also doesn't help, then there must be a bigger problem somewhere.

By the way, at the begin of your first post you mentioned you previously "deleted" the bluetooth drivers. Do you remember how exactly you deleted them?

Okay, I did uninstall the device and checked the box. Now when I scan for hardware changes, instead of showing "Realtek Bluetooth Adapter" it says "Generic Bluetooth Adapter", but it still has the yellow warning sign.

Regarding the PS3 bluetooth drivers removal, I did follow a guide from the creators of the bluetooth drivers for the PS3 controller to remove them. They recommended something called DriverStore Explorer. I also made sure to remove only the drivers that had them as the providers, at least that's what I want to believe. I might've deleted something else by accident.

If Windows reverted to "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" with a yellow mark, that means there is no other (previous) driver available that it could install on its own.

At this point you need to right-click the "Generic Bluetooth Adapter" and then choose "Update driver" and then "Browse my computer for drivers". (browse to the folder into which you extracted the driver zip file that you downloaded from TP-Link)

If this ends up again in the "Code 19" error, then it seems there is no easy solution to this problem.

This sadly did not work.

I appreciate your time.
