No wireless internet.
No matter what I try, I suddenly lost wireless internet on all my devices (phones and laptop). There’s no internet access over Wi-Fi at all, but the connection works perfectly through LAN. Wi-Fi also works fine through an access point that’s connected to the router via LAN.
I bought this router a few days ago, and since then I’ve been experiencing random disconnects for no apparent reason.
I already tried changing the DNS (currently using 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4), setting a static IP, rebooting the router multiple times, and even unplugging it completely for 30 seconds before powering it back on, but nothing fixed the issue.
I also tested with Smart Connect enabled and disabled, and tried both Auto channel selection and manually setting channel 11, but the issue still persists.
I’d really appreciate any help.

Hello @DevDeadly ,
Welcome to our community.
Please try to install the latest firmware: Archer VR400(EU)_V3_250909 and let us know if the firmware helps.
Manually updating the firmware, please refer to How to upgrade the firmware of TP-Link xDSL Modem Router.
The suggestions from the FAQ TP-Link Router Keeps Disconnecting? Fix Unstable Wi-Fi may help you.
Best Regards.

Since LAN is still working fine, it really sounds like the Wi-Fi module or firmware is bugging out rather than an ISP issue. A factory reset with a fresh firmware reinstall might help, especially with newer hardware revisions from a Chinese supplier where firmware stability can sometimes be inconsistent early on.

Hello @DevDeadly ,
Do you mean the modem's network turns back normal after downgrading the firmware?

I have upgraded my TL WA1201 and suddenly it became too hard in connecting, my devices wouldn't connect for like an hour or more if disconnected and when connected it doesn't have internet, all these gone after downgrading. I had opened another thread in the community about it too.

After updating to the latest firmware, it still does not work. I can ping 192.168.1.1 and get response from my phone but I can't access 192.168.1.1 or tplinkmodem.net neither loads.
Any help would be appreciated..
I even performed a factory reset after the firmware but no luck yet..
EDIT: it now after a few minutes works but just like everyday, it will stop working again after a few hours and i'll be back to point 0.

Hello @DevDeadly ,
Thanks for your reply.
You mentioned that you have an Access Point TL-WA1201.
May I know if your network topology diagram is as follows:
ISP device—VR400—TL-WA1201)))((( client devices
(Note: — stands for wired connection,)))((( stands for wireless connection )
When you try to access the web interface, are you connected to the modem's WiFi or the Access Point's WiFi? Note that if you are connected to the Access Point's WiFi, you need to access its management interface via tplinkap.net: How to Log In to Your TP-Link Access Point at tplinkap.net

When the connection is bugging. I'm connected through the VR400 itself not the AP, via AP I have internet and I can access the router's web interface normally.
My structure is
The outside telephone cable > vr400 > ap > extender.
I also have a question, I have an IPhone, I turned off the private mac for all my networks, the Router's WiFi, AP and Extender, so it's same mac for all of them, when switching networks, shouldn't I get same ip address or atleast it happens fast as I'm already connected using same mac addr? cause it's sometimes take long to connect and many more times when i have internet through the Router's Wireless and reconnect to it or move around and network goes out of range for a minute then come back and connect within 2 minutes or some, i lose internet on Router's Wi-FI for like 10 minutes, I'm connected but no internet and after a few minutes, the internet restores but i keep having "No internet" every like 10 minutes for like 20-30s and so on.
