Hi there, I am looking to replace home broadband with TP-Link products and set up an alternative wifi solution. I'd like mobile Wi-Fi as well, so I envisage buying a SIM. What kit do I need to set this up? Can one unlimited data SIM support both home and mobile wifi? I'm unsure which products will work best for travel and, at home, whether a fixed connection is required. Or can I use a combination of products to make wifi work at home and while travelling in the UK? Looking for your recommendations. It's for one to two users, multiple devices and a small home. Thanks.

Hi,
Please provide more detailed information regarding your requests.

  1. What size area do you want our router to cover? Are there many obstacles within this area, such as doors and walls?
  2. What is the maximum number of devices that will connect to the router?
  3. Do you want the router to go to the internet through your home broadband and use the SIM card network as a backup, or do you want to use the SIM card network exclusively?
  4. How does your ISP provide your home broadband? For example, is your current router connected to a modem via an Ethernet cable to go to the internet, or is it directly connected to a phone line?

Best Regards

@Solla-topee  - thanks for your reply.

1.  100m2 - yes, there are doors and walls - it's an apartment.

2. 10-12 devices

3. Use the SIM card network exclusively for home office, TV, etc.

4. Currently broadband connected to a modem via an Ethernet cable - but looking to disconnect broadband.
