XX530v V2 Availability in India & Future Support for V1
Hello TP-Link Team,
I would like to ask a few questions regarding the XX530v series and TP-Link’s plans for the Indian market.
1. Why is the XX530v V2 still not available in India?
The V2 variant appears to be available or discussed in other regions, but Indian users still only have access to the V1 model.
Is there any planned launch timeline for India?
---
2. Has the XX530v V1 been abandoned?
Many users have been reporting issues with the V1 model since day one, including stability and firmware-related complaints across community forums.
However, even after a long time:
- Firmware updates have been very limited
- Several reported bugs still remain
- Communication regarding fixes has been unclear
Can TP-Link clarify whether the V1 model is still actively maintained?
---
3. What about TEC certification in India?
Many TP-Link routers still do not seem to have proper TEC certification in India.
Is TP-Link planning to fully address this and expand router availability officially in the Indian market?
India likely has one of TP-Link’s largest user bases, especially among:
- FTTH users
- BSNL users
- Home networking enthusiasts
- Small office deployments
So this feels like an important market that deserves better availability and support.
---
4. Will India ever get beta testing opportunities?
I’ve seen users from other countries getting access to:
- Beta firmware
- Early router testing
- Community testing programs
But I have not seen similar opportunities for Indian users.
Is TP-Link considering:
- Indian beta programs?
- Early firmware access?
- Community testing initiatives for India?
---
Would appreciate clarification regarding:
- XX530v V2 availability in India
- Future support plans for V1
- Firmware update roadmap
- TEC certification plans
- Beta testing opportunities for Indian users
Thank you.
