Hi,

It is generally not recommended to use an extension cable to power the camera, as this may affect its performance. Please consider the following points:

    1. The material and length of the extension cable may cause the voltage reaching the Tapo camera to be lower than the voltage it requires to operate, resulting in some unusual behavior, such as the camera automatically restarting at night or getting stuck when panning and tilting.

    2. Using extension cords outdoors may also increase the risk of lightning damage, which may void your product's warranty.

    3. If you must use an extension cord, please consider a cable with 22 AWG or thicker wire to minimize voltage drops and ensure your camera receives adequate power. Additionally, ensure the cable is properly waterproofed and lightning-protected.

We do not sell extension cables separately, and below is the spec of the original power source of the Tapo C560WS. You can search on the online stores to find a power extension cable that suits you, however, we can't promise the extension cable can work fine with the camera: Datasheet

For optimal performance, we recommend using the original power adapter and cord that came with the Tapo camera.

If you don't mind having more equipment laying around, you could use a PoE switch/injector with a PoE splitter like the TL-PoE10R and outdoor rated ethernet cable. However this costs a lot of money if you don't already have a setup and of course if placed outdoors then the connections should be enclosed in a weatherproof box.
