Has the GE800 been discarded?
While other lower-end devices are receiving firmware and feature updates, why is the GE800 not receiving any updates?
If I knew it would be like this, I would have been better off buying the BE550 V2 with the money I would have spent on a GE800. I am very disappointed.

@ABC_ChoCo That's what I'm saying! These guys aren't even communicating at all. The support people on here avoid the GE800 posts like the plague and don't even bother commenting on it. No updates or reassurance of any kind, basically no communication.
A user on here has been beta testing from what they said in a post, and this has been going on for a while, which makes me think that Tp-Link have not made any strides in any type of bug fixes. And I'm only referring to bug fixes and security patches, which I'm sure are there, not even thinking about the quality of life updates because that would be too much to ask for.
Although from what I'm reading is that BE550 users are having issue also and they have the new updates. Investing in any of their products anymore seems pointless.

I feel your guy's pain completely! As you know, I'm on the same boat as you. I try to reply to these type of posts regarding the GE800 to let everyone know that they aren't alone and what all of us are experiencing is valid.
So a small update, not significant, I was given another beta firmware to test to help isolate issues and after installing, I couldn't even access the router anymore via the Web UI and the Tether app began to crash and give me errors on it. The only way for me to access the Web UI was to factory reset the router and restore from my previous backup. It was one of the most buggiest beta firmware I was ever given all in attempts to collect logs that weren't being generated. In fact, I had a USB drive connected to collect logs and that was completely wiped and could not be read on my computer which I thought collected that information. I immediately sent them a detailed email with screenshots of what I was experiencing and have yet to hear back. I thought the next beta I would receive would be at least a steppingstone if not the cornerstone for us to be able to get the new firmware. I'm encountering daily issues with the IOT network and it's super unstable. There are a bunch of other things such as the Tether app errors, the web UI errors, network instability, and several others.
**THIS MONTH OF JUNE** (supposedly) is going to be the month we get our firmware for R3 from what I've been told.
