Hi!

 

One of my deco x20 in my mesh system is not connecting to the app and is now blinking blue. The app says everything is all good, but I cannot reboot or remove the x20. I've reinstalled the app, reset the x20. Nothing works. Would love some advice.

Hi,
If the Deco X20 does not appear in the Deco app and has a flashing blue light, you need to configure it via the Deco app.
To add one more Deco to the existing Deco network, please refer to the instructions below.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, and sorry for not being clear. The app says the x20 is part of the mesh and working well, but the x20 itself is flashing blue. I've tried rebooting and removing on the app, which tthe app says "failed" to do, and ive tried unplugging the and rebooting manually

Hi,
Please try uninstalling the Deco app, clearing the cache on your phone, reinstalling the Deco app, and checking whether the problematic Deco disappears from the Deco app or shows as offline.

 

If not, please confirm the following information.
  1. On the Deco app, please go to the Network tab, click on the problematic Deco, and click it again to see its MAC address. You can also find the Deco's MAC address on the bottom label. Please confirm whether the two MAC addresses are the same.
  2. If you add the Deco to the Deco app by following the instructions, can you add it successfully, or does an error message appear?

Hi! Uninstalled the app and cleared the cache and then reinstalled. No change. 1. They have the same MAC address. 2. I cant add the deco following the instructions. The app also wont let me reboot the deco or reboot the network.

Hi,
It seems the Deco app is operating abnormally on your phone. Please try installing the Deco app on a different phone and check if it displays the correct status of the Deco nodes.

 

If the same phenomenon persists, please try deleting the Deco network in the Deco app, factory resetting all Deco nodes, then creating a new Deco network and configuring the Deco nodes, and check if the Deco nodes can be configured successfully.

Note that my satellite Deco X20 (US v4 fw 1.7.1) started having random disconnection issues (red light) after a firmware upgrade and wouldn't reconnect.
Removing it and adding it again worked a few times, but eventually last week it got stuck with a blue light and couldn't be added anymore as the device wasn't discoverable anymore.
Tried to force a different firmware and then the yellow-light saga began.

 

Everything is working fine now after downgrading to an older firmware version.
