Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20251030 Rel. 41614

Hi!
I am experiencing a problem with my Deco network and would appreciate your assistance in diagnosing it.

Network topology

My network consists of:

  • 2 × Deco BE65
  • 1 × Deco X50-Outdoor

All Deco units are connected via Ethernet backhaul.

The Deco X50-Outdoor is used exclusively for three cameras:

  • 3 × Tapo C560WS

Problem description

I have been experiencing intermittent connectivity issues with the cameras, so I decided to perform additional diagnostics.

I installed Uptime Kuma on my NAS server and configured it to continuously monitor network devices. During this testing, the Deco X50-Outdoor appeared to be problematic.

The monitoring shows that:

  • Ping latency to the X50-Outdoor periodically increases from approximately 2 ms to over 50 ms.
  • These latency spikes occur with a very regular pattern, approximately every 2 hours.
  • After reaching the peak, latency gradually decreases back to around 2 ms over the course of roughly 1 hour.
  • During these periods, packet loss and occasional connection interruptions occur.
  • The issue is visible even though the unit is connected via Ethernet backhaul.
  • The device logs contain numerous errors, which I have attached for your review.

The regularity of the latency pattern makes me suspect that some background process or malfunction may be occurring on the X50-Outdoor.

Attachments

I have attached:

  • Network topology diagram
  • Uptime Kuma monitoring graphs
  • Device logs

Could you please help analyze the attached information and advise whether this behavior is expected or indicative of a hardware, firmware, or configuration issue?

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hi,
Regarding the reported phenomenon, please provide the following information for further analysis.

  1. On the Deco app > More > System page, please check all Deco nodes' firmware versions and send them to us.
  2. Which Deco does your NAS connect to? Via Wi-Fi or wired connection?
  3. When your camera is experiencing the reported issue, what's the LED status on the camera and the Deco X50-Outdoor? Do all three cameras encounter the issue simultaneously?
  4. Whether other client devices can work properly after connecting to the X50-Outdoor?

Best Regards

  1. Firmware versions

Sypialnia | BE65 | 1.1.1 Build 20250616 Rel. 12316

Biuro | BE65 | 1.1.1 Build 20250616 Rel. 12316

Podworko | X50-Outdoor | 1.3.1 Build 20251030 Rel. 41614

  1. NAS connection

My Synology NAS is connected via Ethernet cable to the Deco node named "Biuro" (BE65).

  1. LED status during the issue

Unfortunately, it is difficult for me to observe the LED status when the issue occurs, especially for the cameras, as they are installed outdoors.

However, I can confirm that all three cameras experience the problem simultaneously.

  1. Other devices connected to the X50-Outdoor

The Uptime Kuma logs clearly show that ping requests to the "Podworko" Deco (X50-Outdoor) periodically time out.

I have also independently confirmed the same behavior by continuously pinging the X50-Outdoor directly from both a mobile phone connected to the Wi-Fi network and a laptop. During the affected periods, ping requests are lost and response times increase significantly.

This suggests that the issue is related to the X50-Outdoor itself rather than to a specific client device connected through it.

Please let me know if you require any additional diagnostics or testing.

Hi,
If you have not tried factory resetting the Deco X50-Outdoor, please press and hold the reset button for 1 second to perform a factory reset, reconfigure it, change the cable between the X50-Outdoor and the satellite Deco BE65, then check if the same phenomenon persists.
If so, please pay attention to the LED status on the Deco X50-Outdoor when it can't be pinged successfully, and check whether it's displayed as offline in the Deco app.

Best Regards
