I've recently installed this camera and have noticed that there is an error with the stored viewpoint function. 
 

every time I've save a particular viewpoint and then try and use it the camera fails to respond. Doesn't matter if it's just one particular viewpoint or five: the function isn't working.

Please confirm whether the manual Pan & Tilt control works. Try creating a Shortcut or a simple Automation (for example, set a time trigger for 2 minutes from now) with the action to move the camera to a saved viewpoint, and see if that executes. Tapo Smart Actions: How to Set Up Automations and Shortcuts on the Tapo App
