Hi,

This topic seems to have been covered a few times, but I think I'm missing something, and I'm hoping someone can help...

We have an existing network on our Deco X20 mesh setup, and are already using the guest network and IOT ready options. I'm now trying to create an additional separate network to run alongside these for various reasons.

I've found loads of online resource / other answers which say 'go to create new network' in the app and then follow the in-app instructions, which is fine. However, the in-app instructions essentially go:

- plug in the deco, the light should start flashing blue

- not flashing blue? Hold the reset button down for a second and all will be well

As I'm a bit old and not very smart with technology, I can't but help think "isn't this a factory reset? Won't it then ditch my old network which is working perfectly fine"

I'd be grateful if anyone out there who's younger and smarter than me could give any advice? Thanks!

  @Scampi Deco supports only three SSIDs (Main, Guest, IoT). You can’t add more, so yes the guides are basically instructing you to reset the Deco.

  @Scampi

Hi,
If you want to create a new Wi-Fi network, as @bobvana said here, Deco supports only three SSIDs (Main, Guest, IoT).

If you have more Deco nodes and want to create a new Deco network, please refer to the instructions below.
How to Create Multiple TP-Link Deco Networks in the Deco App

Best Regards

  @Scampi so to paraphrase, you can only create a new network on a completely separate set of Deco's.

You cannot add any further wi-fi networks to your existing setup.
