T110 v1.10 firmware update

Monday - last edited Tuesday
Model: Tapo T110
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.10

I have 5 of the T110 sensors.

1 out of my 5 T110 sensors has updated to the most recent v 1.10 firmware, released in March 2026.

This firmware update added the much needed support to migrate sensors to a new Hub, plus other unspecified bug fixes.

I have bought a new Hub and need this update, but my other 4 T110 sensors have not updated.

The manual firmware update check in the mobile app INCORRECTLY shows that they have these sensors already latest firmware installed.

Why?!

Whilst I imagine TAPO must have a reason for not rolling out firmware updates automatically to all devices simultaneously, this behavior of the manual check in the mobile app is at-best misleading, and I think most users would agree is wrong.

That aside, a 3 month wait for the automatic rollout is as puzzling as it is frustrating.

Why is is taking so long for the V1.10 firmware update to reach the remainder of my T110 sensors?

Please advise.

Hello  @Wayne-TP

Your records are either incorrect or you have been given incorrect information.

The V1.10 firmware was released 3 months ago, in March, as per your web-site:

https://www.tp-link.com/uk/support/download/tapo-t110/v1/#Firmware-Release-Notes

As I explained, I have this firmware version installed on ONE of my T110 sensors. It downloaded and installed automatically over a month ago.

I expected my other T110 sensors to update shortly after, but they have not.

These sensors are all the same hardware version, and were purchased and set up at the same time.

Is there a problem with the V1.10 firmware which is delaying completion of the roll-out?

Please advise.

New firmware is typically released using a gradual rollout (phased release). This means the update is first sent to a small subset of devices, and the rollout percentage is gradually increased over time. During this phase, if your device doesn’t detect the new version, that’s completely normal. The rollout will continue to expand until it reaches all compatible devices, at which point every device will be able to detect the update.

We don’t have information on firmware rollout timeline, but I will try to check with the team.

For your case:

  1. If you need the new feature urgently, reach out to our support team directly.
  2. If you aren’t in a rush for the new feature and your product is currently working fine, please be patient and wait for the rollout.
  3. If your product is experiencing any specific issue, I recommend starting a new discussion focused on that problem.
