TD-W8968 iMac kills wifi

Whenever the iMac is turned all devices connected via wifi are unable to use the internet.
The iMac is connected via ethernet (although the problem still occurs when connected via wifi).
My PC is connected via ethernet also and does not experience connectivity issues when the iMac is turned on.
