PA8010 And PA7020 Compatibility Issues

Hi, I have been using powerline sockets for a number of years. I recently changed internet provider to Virgin where I get 200mb broadband. I had to upgrade my powerline setup so I bought a set of PA8010 and they work great. I still had an old av500 socket upstairs but that was only 100mb Ethernet so I ordered a pair of PA7020. I figured that av1000 would be fast enough and the twin Ethernet sockets were ideal. The problem is the speeds of the two different units are miles apart. On the av1200 I'm getting 825Mbps but on the av1000 I'm only getting 225Mbps. If I plug in the old av500 it's getting over 300Mbps. I don't understand what's happening, any ideas?
