Having Issues with your Sonos Speakers and TP-Link Deco Mesh?

Used Products:

Occasionally we have seen some feedback related to Sonos speakers and Mesh networks, in doing some research on the Sonos website and community, we found it is not just TP-Link Mesh like Deco or Onemesh, but other Mesh networks in general. The following post is captured from the Sonos community, we cannot state if this option will work or not, but the Sonos community has it marked as a Best Answer on the thread.

So if you are having connection issues with your Sonos Speakers and TP-Link mesh network, please take the following suggestions for reference:

  • Wire one or more Sonos products to the router via Ethernet cables all the time.

When it comes to a Mesh network (taking Deco as an example), try wiring one of the speakers to the main Deco node and switch to a wired setupThe wired speaker will broadcast a dedicated wireless SonosNet that your other Sonos products will use.

  • Wire a Sonos Boost to the main Deco node and pair other Sonos speakers to the Boost.

Please know that TP-Link cannot endorse any of these solutions and do recommend you still reach out to Sonos for any support beyond these suggestions.
