Parental controls not working?
I can't get the parental controls to work at all. I've been through the instructions here: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1531/
Basically, whatever I do, I can't get it to block wi-fi. The MAC address shown is for my phone. The settings should ALLOW wi-fi access from 17:00-18:00 right? But I still have wi-fi.
And the UI sucks. Most of the time I can't change the "Internet acccess time" because when I click on the time slots nothing happens. Occasionally I can select the time slots; usually nothing happens.

Nope, none of it works.
Router:
Firmware Version: 1.3.1 Build 20220401 Rel. 57404(4555)
Hardware Version: Archer AX10 v1.20
Now is 7 PM and absolutely no restriction is on youtube (or ANY other site, with TLD specified or not).
So, this feature is not working as advertised and that makes me a sad owner.

@JonMason The same I wanted to block (youtube) and no way. Tried all the settings, time sets, no block at all.
Is there any hope to get it solved?

Hello @Redjam
Please firstly check and ensure the Parental Control settings on the AX1500 are correct:
How to configure Parental Controls on the Wi-Fi Routers
If YouTube still cannot be blocked, try to add the below domains to the blocked websites, then confirm:
youtube.com
youtube-ui.google.com
m.youtube.com
youtubei.googleapis.com
What's more, please ensure there is no VPN enabled in the network, which may invalidate the block settings.

The feature says "Block all websites that contain a specific keyword."
Note that it doesn't say "URL" or "hostname". Hence, specifying just "youtube" should cove all extra examples you have listed.
Or the feature text ("Block all websites that contain a specific keyword.") is badly written and is misleading.

The whitelist only stops them from using browsers.
Any installed apps still work.
TP link dont seem to understand how to make a useful parental control.

@JonMason I have just bought my to link router. Expressly for parental controls.
I've set all the times up, it's "turn-off" tine yet nothing. Both still happily surfing and I'm left manually flicking the switch in the router, still.
How hard is it to design something that every parent is crying out for? It's really not good enough is it?!
