TL-MR6400 random 4G Disconnect
TL-MR6400 random 4G Disconnect
Hi Guys,
I have a TP Link router above. I put a Virgin Media Ireland SIM card into the router and it worked for about 4 hrs then stopped.
Rebooted and reset but nothing. If I put the sim into a phone I get a 4G connection no problem.
I then tried a Vodafone SIM card which was working in my phone with a 4G conneciton but the modem has never come online.
I reset the device but no joy.
I have checked settings, no timers, no data limits etc enabled.
See log below - looks like it simply failing but not sure why...
Thanks,
Mario

Hi,
I also have random disconnects and automatic reconnect does not work. I always have to reboot to connect again.
Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.6.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 181022 Rel.40644n
Where do I find the new firmware version
Firmware Version:1.12.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190730 RC.59984n
The above links do not work anymore.

We have developed a debug tool to locate the issue. Please follow the steps below to get the debug log and System Log for further analysis:
1. Below is the download link:
http://support.tp-link.com/f/88e1be2c74/?dl=1
How to update it: https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1667/
2. Once the router has the new firmware, please run the 'TP-LINK LTE Log Tool.exe', select the mode as 'net monitor' and start it.
3. Just keep the router and the Tool run until the internet drops on your router, save the debug log into a new folder. The log directory will be opened when the tool is stopped. And, please go to Advanced-System Tools-System Log page, save the system log and save it in the above new folder. Please note that we need both the debug log and the system log.
4. Please run the Tool again, select the mode as ' dial once' and start it. Check and tell us the internet status once the tool stops. Then save the debug log and system log into another folder. Please note that we need both the debug log and the system log.
5. Please send us the above two folders which contain two debug logs and two system logs.
May it help.

@Kevin_Z Hi Kevin. I am having the same problem as described by others in this thread "Recv no OFFER, DHCP Service unavailable". Is it possible to send the Beta update. Currently my version of router is Firmware Version:1.6.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 181022 Rel.40644n Hardware Version:TL-MR6400 v3 00000001. My region is South Africa. LTE works then drops then I get the DHCP service not availble. I had this same issue with two different carriers so I can only asume this may be a hardware or firmware flaw

Hi can you please give me the latest firmware fix as i have the same problem

@Zag the firmware did not solve the issue. I bought a timer plug which shuts down the power supply of the router each day for a minute. Since then there is no connection issue, or if rarely it happens latest in a day router is automatically restarted and reconnected.
Using the scheduled restart function of the firmware did not help.

@Zag up to you. I'm just a consumer, not a member of TP-Link team :-)
