@sasasi91

Hi,

I had the same issue however, I found out a workaround wherein you can disable the 2.4Ghz from the main network and enable the Guest network with 2.4GHz and you can choose the name for both of them accordingly.

Hope this helps.

It's been over a year now and no answer or update, they probably don't even care and aren't working on an update, i should have bought another brand mesh system.

@Billie-Turf it won't happen but there is a workaround, set up the guest as only 2.4 and connect devices which won't connect to the duel one. It works perfectly just make sure you add a password.

Please make this feature available. A lot of Internet of Things devices only work in 2.4 Ghz mode. Altough the Deco is capable of dualband, but some devices like my Macbook air from 2014 has a tendency to connect to 2.4 Ghz. Only by disabling 2.4 Ghz, it connects to the 5 Ghz mode.

Things would be much easier with seperate SSID's for 2.4 and 5 Ghz.

@DjawidH

Hi,

Thank you very much for your concern about this case.

Currently, we did not have the plan to add separate SSID for 2.4ghz and 5ghz, only separate on/off switch for the two bands.

Since the reason we bought Deco is mainly for its mesh feature, if you use two SSIDs on the Deco, it would break the mesh.

And there would be a workaround for your reference:

1. set up main network with 5ghz only for one SSID;

2. then create a guest network with 2.4ghz only for another SSID;

Thanks a lot for your understanding and support.
