I have an AX1500 connected to my modem (in livingroom).  My kitchen/dining room cannot receive a stable WIFI signal.  I have a generic ethernet cable (don't know if CAT5 or CAT5e) running to kitchen/dining room.

I am not sure how to connect to the second room.

Should I put another AX1500 on ethernet in ACCESS POINT MODE?  That way I might have better WIFI in second room and the ability to connect other devices by ethernet.

Would I loose Parent Control on the ACCESS POINT?  If so, how can I retain Parent Control in this set-up?

Any suggestions?

@TeePeeHK

Hello, parental control is not supported in AP mode. You can refer to https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/2420/  to get the difference between router mode and AP mode.

Meanwhile, if you have an AX1500 already, you can use a network expansion device to boost the wifi signal, like the range extender ( RE450, RE650) or the powerline adapters with wifi function ( TL-WPA4220, TL-WPA8630KIT).

May it help.
