Archer C6 login re-directs to login
Archer C6 login re-directs to login
Hello group!
I've updated my Archer C6 to the new firmware (according to the updater on the management site 1.2). Since the update completed and the router re-started, I've been unable to log in.
Login & password combo is fine (I tried a wrong one and got an error message), but after I hit login I see the blue background for a second, with the two buttons "Logout" and "Reboot".
The URL shows as http://tplinkwifi.net/webpages/index.html and then it jumps back to http://tplinkwifi.net/webpages/login.html.
Any hint? I havent tried a re-set yet, but that would be my next step. Internet access works, though, so I'm weary of re-setting the whole thing and risking to lock us out of the internet. It's not like I have another router lying around right now.

@Kevin_Z Thank you again for your help.
As I have replied to the email, I do not wish to rebind the tplink account. I only used it for the dynamic DNS, which I am doing externally now.
But seeing as there are other reports of the same issue, I think you should consider investigating and fixing the bug in your firmware.
have a nice day!

Thanks for your reply. Okay, you can use the DDNS as a workaround for now.
And we will do some tests at our end and verify whether we can duplicate it and keep an eye on similar feedback.
Good day.

Have you solved it somehow? I just updated firmware (I think to the latest available) and now the ap is broken. Can't login at all (the login page is not openning, if so when I press "login" it never works, looks like the page is hang up - cursor changed from "arrow" to "hand" no matter where it is), broken connection several times per hour. Have I bring this device back to shop or you can fix it online like you damaged?

I ended up unbinding the TP-Link account and I could login to web administration using local router password.
I am still at 1.2.0 Build 20191014 rel.33289(4555) with no intention to upgrade firmware.
It really sucks, if we have to find workarounds just to login to our devices! C'mon TP Link!

Hello, sorry to respond late.
Firstly, please confirm again and ensure you are running the latest firmware, which should be now 200630:

If the issue persists, please confirm the below to help us locate the issue more quickly:
1. How about internet access on the C6, is the internet still working? Have you tried to reset the router to factory defaults to give it a try?
2. Could you please shot a short video and send it to us?
3. You can also try to login to the router via the Tether app.
Thanks~
