Archer C6 port forwarding
Archer C6 port forwarding
Hello,
Please help me understand why port forwarding is not working on Archer C6? I want to connect externally on two ip cameras.
The same settings like on Archer C2 (before C6) but is not working. On Archer C2 the same settings are working perfectly.
Maybe a defective router? :(

I have solved the issue today with tp-link support. It seems on the C^ reservation of the ips in DHCP reservation list creates a conflict....strange....
Setting a static IP for each camera in their config page and only set a port and forward it works.

Hello, below is the instruction to setup port forwarding on Archer C6.
https://www.tp-link.com/support/faq/1541/
And to make it work, the internet IP address of Archer C6 should be the public one.
Besides, please ensure that the LAN IP of the IP cameras are correct.
Good day.

@Kevin_Z the IP of the router is public (PPPOE) and DNS manually added. Also the cameras IPs are reserved in the DHCP range reservation list and forwarded but when i use "domainname.xx.xx:port" is not accesible. Using any online port checker shows that the specific port is closed :(
Using domain dns name and the assigned port for remote mangement of the router is working but the cameras IPs not :(
Why the same settings are working fine on previous Archer C2 and not on the Archer C6? :(

Hello,
What is the current internet IP address of C6?
In the same network, please test whether you can access it with camera's IP address and port number; meanwhile, you can use the WAN IP plus port number to test.
Besides, please use telnet to test:
1. in the same network, please go to run—cmd—telnet lan ip port number
2. in external network, please run—cmd—telnet wan ip port number
Note: Please show us the pictures of the test results.
Good day.

Hello:
To connect I use Internet Explorer:
http://192.168.0.1/webpages/index.html:
Normally it works a few times before having the problem, sometimes more sometimes less, it does not want to work.
I wait a few hours or the next morning.
Yes I have a port forwarding problem. This is the reason why I sometimes go in and out several times.
Thank you for your reply. Geo.

@Kevin_Z Hi! I'm experiencing the same issue with my C6, I can't make a port forwarding for my torrent client, I have tried different torrent clients but didn't manage to make it work and now I'm pretty sure the issue is in the router settings.
Any help is much appreciated!
