Hi I've the same problem after I upgraded the firmware of my TD-W8968.The ps3 is no longer able to connect to the media share.
The error message is dlna error 501.

I got replay form polish tp link support : 1043nd does not support DLNA. It has na label DLNA server at the moment.

Can you specify? I have a 1043nd, there is a media server listed and it shows up on DNLA ready devices. My only problem is that it won't show all my files I have on the drive (external usb harddrive). Is there any solution for that problem?

I went through the usual steps of adding/removing the drive, adding the entire partition/only some subfolders, rescanning, reboot, etc... I always end up with the same files aand folders missing. It is not a problem of file format, as in one folder there is 24 avi files, but only the first 3 files show up.

I've encountered similar problems. If you check the router's admin page, you'll see this on the Media Server tab:

The max share folders number is 6. If you want share a new folder when the number has reached 6, you can delete a share folder and then add a new one.

Although it doesn't say so, it seems like there is also a limit on the number of files contained within those folders. I experimented with increasing the number significantly, and it simply cut them off, much as it did with you. It seemed the number of files displayed is related to the number of directories.

This is a major limitation of the media server -- one that isn't mentioned elsewhere (for example, in their promotional materials). It would be great if someone from TP-Link could chime in and let us know if they'll be able to remedy it in a future firmware update, or if we're stuck with that as a permanent ceiling -- which makes the router essentially useless for typical media collections.

I would very happy if this could be fixed or at least the number of files increased by some factors...thx.
