Model: TL-MR6400
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.10.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190521 Rel.38696n

I have recently bought a TL-MR6400 for use as a 4G router. We have a typical signal strength of 75% which sometimes drops to 50%.

For the most part the router works really well but once or twice a day it appears to freeze. It looks like the bandwidth starts to drop before it freezes - eg a streamed video starts to break up - but it is hard to tell because when it does freeze I cannot log in to see what the signal strength is.

Rebooting fixes the issue. It boots back up and all devices can reconnect to the router and the internet connectivity returns.

I have looked in the logs but cannot see any alerts or errors. I cant even see evidence of me having rebooted. I have updated the firmware to the lastest available (1.10.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190521 Rel.38696n)

Has anyone got any suggestions on what I should do? With no logging I cant even really diagnose the problem...

@Tintami

We will do some troubleshooting to locate this issue and try to fix it.

1. What is the led status of the MR6400 when it freezes? Can you access internet from it by wired cable?

2. Try to log into the web UI and show us a screenshot of the status page and network-internet page when it freezes if possible.

3. You can create the network profile manually with the APN info given by ISP. Or you can change the mode to 4G preferred or 4G only.

4. Besides, please ensure the firmware is up to date and please tell us the country version of your MR6400. It is printed on the back panel, next to the model number.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

The LEDs appear to stay on as they were, ie they freeze.

I cant access via wired.

I cannot log in to the web UI. Everything is frozen.

The firmware is on the latest version available via the web UI.

I am using the EU version - TL-MR6400(EU) rev 4

I will happily try the beta firmware you have supplied to other people.

Thanks!
