Implemented No openvpn client option on Archer AX11000?
Hello,
just found out that my newly bought Archer AX11000 router does not have an option to setup an openvpn client to ExpressVPN.
What a huge dissapointment.
My previous router was een Assus and with this router (I think with every Assus router ) it was possible to do so, but it was 2,5 years old so not powerfull enough to have a vpn tunnel fast enough.
That is why I bought this router for 373 euros, approx $400!
Of course you can say, if I informed myself good enough I would have known.
But unfortunatly I didn't. Well, at least not enough.
So my request to TP-Link is, can you please produce a firmware update which add this openvpn client option!
If this will not happen I'm forced to sell this router with a loss and buy an Assus router again and never switch to another brand again!
Please, please, please
Thank you
Sincerely,
Lex

@Kevin_Z We have 2AX11000 and they both are crashing every few hours using L2TP. Please add OpenVPN support ASAP. PLASE let us know TP-Link thoughts on this request from many users.

Sorry, still no update from the product team yet whether this will be added or not. If you do need the OpenVPN client feature urgently and the router is still in the return window, please return it to the reseller.

@Cyberlexie Also keen to see this implemented.
This feature should have been there already for a router costing as much as it does really. Is there any update on if this is being considered and added to the roadmap?
Thanks.

@cj2902 forget it.
I am still happy with this router, really, but i expected more from a router with this price.

I've come to realize I probably shouldn't be buying tplink products. If a custom firmware were possible this probably wouldn't be an issue. The software for this router is disappointing and its not like the hardware can't do more. What's the use of the storage and RAM if the software is so limited? Even my dlink router was able to tell me how much I downloaded and uploaded each day. Nothing like that here. No tempterature information, no uptime information as far as I could tell. It's a mixed bag.
I didn't do as much research too. Figured it's too fancy to be lacking.

@Kevin_Z Please add me to the list of people asking for TP-Link to add VPN client settings to the Archer AX11000. This is an important feature availale for other competitor routers in this category.
