I have many TP-Link Deco units and recently when adding a new TP-link smart plug HS100 to the mesh the app automatically sets the new unit as automation unit. So now I have many HS100 smart plus in the app as normal devices and new ones are in different category.

I only use the Deco app to control my network and I do not want it to control any way my automation - I have way better means to do that.

So how can I remove this "automation device" status from these new smart plugs to get them shown in the app just like all the other devices connected to my network?

Hi,

Yes, you can remove the HS100 from the "automation device" status, and then it will show in the app like all other devices.

@TP-Link_Deco

Thanks a lot for a response!

My question was how and unfortunately your answer does not explain that.

So if you know how you change the status to "general/not automation" device could you please try to explain how it happens; I have tried that but have not found the way?

You can follow the instruction in the attachment for a try.

OK - thanks!

I worked - I saw that also myself, but never tried that, because I was afraid it will move the device from the mesh also. The devices are far away and I operate remotely, so if removed from the mesh I could not rejoin them again remotely.
