Model: TL-WPA4220 KIT
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.4.0.20-00_422014_181207_902

Having purchased this kit, I get an issue where the end device (WPA4220) loses connection (both hardwired and wireless) after 3 days.

I have checked the firmware and tried using different sockets and disabling the 'sleep' function to no avail.

I even purchased another unit and this also drops out after 3 days!

I have adjusted settings from the utility app and web browser.

The only thing I cannot seem to be able to do is check and locate the latest firmware for the TL-PA4010 element of the kit.

I notice that there is a post here; https://community.tp-link.com/us/home/forum/topic/204238 although I am surprised that this is not on the TP Download site and also cannot find a PIB file.

Can anyone please assist/advise?

@henno2000

Hello,

Did you refer to this FAQ to do the troubleshooting:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/2230/

If it still not working, please tell me which case you are referring to and what you have done.

Please tell me which country are you located in?

May I have a photo of the bottom label of the TL-WPA4220KIT?

Have a nice day!

@Solla-topee many thanks for the response.

FYI, I have now resolved the issue by downgrading the firmware as it appears that there is a known bug with v4 of the firmware.

Having downgraded to v3 a couple of weeks ago, I have had no issues with performance.

Fingers crossed for a v5 release soon!
