AX1500 (RE505X) and AC1200 (RE300) not playing nice

My AC1200 (RE300) was working fine with ssid_EXT in my house upstairs.

I added AX1500 (RE505X) which connected well to the same router, located in the basement.  When using the new AX1500, I was able to connect.  I have different SSID for both units so I can differentiate between them.

Problem is, while the AX1500 works fine, the AC1200 with all LEDs lit, keeps trying to connect, eventually saying, "Could not get IP addess".   I think the AX1500 is in conflict with the AC1200 and I am thinking to return the AC1200.

1. Is this a known conflict and should I return it?

2. Why can I not see both extenders when I log into Tether?  Is it cause I MUST be on that extender's wifi?

3. if I get a second AX1500, can I expect the same conflicts?

Thank you

M.

@MPT_WA

Good day, Sorry for the delay.

If you only use RE505x, would you still have the same issue?

And what is the model number of your home router?

Did you have any wired laptop which could connect to the RE505x via Ethernet cable to see if wired connection could get any IP address?

Thank you very much.
