Sorry for the delay.

After setup via the WPS button, it would copy the same SSID of the home router to RE305.

So you could check on the smart TV to see if the previous router signal get much stronger;

If the smart TV supported Ethernet cable connection which would be much better, please connect the TV via cable to RE305 to see if there is any internet from the cable;

Moreover, you could change the SSID of RE305 to be different;
