Hi,
Please refer to the following suggestions:
1. disconnect the 801ND from the home router;
2. connect the computer to the Wi-Fi of 801ND and check the IP address and default gateway on the computer;
(make sure the PC could get a valid IP address since 801ND has a smart DHCP server)
3.then try to log in via http://tplinkap.net
Once you could get into the web UI, please connect the 801 back to the router;
Thank you very much.

@hopika I have a similar problem. When I connect my 801ND to the ethernet cable, after resetting it to factory settings, the lights indicate that it is connected, but I cannot access the configuration screen. When I access the configuration of my router, the AP does not appear, so has not been assigned an IP address.

@TP-Link Thanks for the solution. I know that is the standard procedure, but it didn't seem to work the first time.

Thank you very much for your kind reply.
So, there is still no internet connection from the 801ND, right?
And have you checked the IP address and gateway when it is connected to the 801ND?
How about the model number of your home router?
By the way, how long have you had the 801ND and did it work well before?
Thanks a lot.
