It is quite difficult to figure out how much the delay to synchronize is. The synchronization speed also depends on the ADSL line.

In fact, I try to identify the source of the time required by a modem to get synchronized.
Is it depending on modem or DSLAM?
In other words, is it interesting to replace an old modem by a new one to decrease this time?
