Hello TP Link community,

I bought this WiFi router to increase my internet quality, regarding speed and WiFi range. I can see the benefits on the speed (specially because of WIFI 6), however something that disappointed me is the WiFi signal strength, I live in a one bedroom apartment and I can't get full strength signal most of the time!

I thought that a good and modern router with better WiFi range would solve my problem, but that is not the case. Can anyone help on that? That is anything that I can do to improve my WiFi signal strength? The router is located in my bedroom, and if a leave the room most of the time I only get 80-90% WiFi signal and my apartment is not big - if I go to the kitchen it gets only one point on WiFi signal :(

thank you in advance

Rafael

Hello Rafael, thanks for posting an issue on the TP-Link community.

From what I can tell, there might be heavy interference or wall obstacles in your apartment, which cut off the signal a lot. Please refer to this article to try to relocate the AX50 as well as the antenna on it, then monitor if there is any improvement:

@Kevin_Z Thank you for your support.

I purchased the AX 1500 (RE505X) Wi-Fi range extender with the hope to solve this issue. However, now if a have a good wifi signal, my connection keeps disconnecting constantly. I created a new thread about that, if you could have a look at it, I would appreciate it.

Thank you,
