TP-Link TL-WPA4226KIT AV500 Connection Interruptions
Hey guys.
First a "disclaimer": There's a bug that didn't offer me the option of Powerline adapters in der "Model" selection. So I chose something random.
So I have this (https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00HHREN1Q) device since 2016, and now that I have a Smart-TV in my living room, I notice that the connection often interrupted.
My Setup is: The TL-PA4020P is connected to the Modem/Router on the 3rd floor and the TL-WPA4220 is in the living room, connecting with a cable to the TV.
I recently connected my PC (3rd floor) directly with the TL-PA4020P and I immediately started to have connection interruptions.
I tried a lot, and now I think it's time to update the Firmware. But I want to be sure not to break anything, that's why I'm here.
My PLC-Utility Software says I have the Firmware version 1.1.0.844-01_422011_140304_002.
On the hardware it says "Version 1.xxx" so I downloaded here (https://www.tp-link.com/de/support/download/tl-wpa4226-kit/v1/#Firmware) the first thing (TL-WPA4220(EU)_V1_170519)
I plan to install this with the PLC-Utility.
My questions:
Did I choose the correct Firmware?
Should I do a Backup first and if yes, how?
