Hi guys!

I recently installed a AX3000 adapter on my desktop pc, I'm wondering if there is any chance to connect the card to both my 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz wifi networks providing that they have slightly different SSIDs. At the moment I am only connected to the 5 GHz one without any issue but I just want to use all the available band because I have a 1 Gbit connection.

Thank you very much indeed for you answers.

@Ganganz

The adapter can only connect to one network at a time.

Thank you!

So if I merge the two networks it will connect to both of them using dual band and improving transmission speed, correct?

@Ganganz Hi,

If you merge 2 bands or set up same SSID for 2 bands, PC / adapter will only connect to 1 band at a time, either 2Ghz or 5Ghz.

If you want faster speed, please use different SSIDs for 2Ghz and 5Ghz, and connect to 5Ghz Wifi.

You could contact router support and change 5Ghz to higher bandwidth on like 80Mhz, this will boost some speed.
