@Kevan Hi, good day!
As far as I know, IOS14 devices consider WPA-PSK, TKIP encryption as "weak security"
You could change Wireless security to WPA2-PSK , AES which is considered as secured.
If same issue, please send us a photo of your wireless security settings, thank you.
Btw, may I know did you use it in AP mode or RE mode?

@Solla-topee I'm having the same problem.
Deco security is set to WPA2-PSK [AES], the supposed secure option and I still get my apple devices giving me that the "WEAK SECURITY" warnings.
System is being used in Router mode, has 2 M9 and 3 M5 devices. As recommended by Tp-Link one of the M9 devices is the Main Deco
Fast Roaming and Beam forming are enabled
Deco units are all up to date according to the app
M9 = 1.2.12 Build 20191014, M5 = 1.5.3 Build 20210203
I am also having issues with the devices on the network dropping internet connection very frequently. This is a new happening, and had not been seen for the previous couple of years.

@Wabsa Hello,
Your Deco M9 plus firmware is pretty old, and that could be the problem.
For US version Deco M9, here is the firmware that fixed the “weak security ” issue for Deco M9 Plus, it's not the latest firmware but you could start update firmware from this one and later update to newer firmware via Deco app directly.
Please download this Upgrade tool to upgrade the firmware for Deco M9 Plus (wired connection is recommended , as by cable is more stable )

@Solla-topee why isn't the app updating the Deco automatically? My app is up to date according to the App Store (2.6.3). The whole point for me was these devices should be install and forget as the system should be taking care of updates?

OK this sucks! I can't open the utility in either Windows or Mac. There must be some security issue as it seems to get instantly deleted from both systems once I try to extract and open the utility.
Yes I did download teh Mac version for Mac and the Windows version for Windows

@Wabsa Hello,
This is the first time I heard that upgrade tool Utility is deleted by system....If there is any security/antivirus app on your MAC or Windows, please turn that off and download again.
The M9 V2 old firmware is a little special and requires a manual upgrade, but do not worry, the following firmware support to be upgraded via Deco app.
At the same time, we'd like to follow up your case via email and our seniors may look into this issue, email subject begins with 【Forum ID 】

@Solla-topee I have an re450 v2 and installed the latest version of firmware that is available on your site RE450(US)_V2__200914. I still get weak security message and do not see any options to modify the security levels on the extender.
is there a beta version for the v2 version?
Thanks

@EPMS Good day,
Range extender does not have security settings on Web UI, but it synchronizes the wireless security as main router, so please make sure main router is on WPA2-PSK (AES)
Here is a related guide for it:
Why my iOS14 warning weak security when I connect to TP-Link Wi-Fi
RE450(US)_V2__200914 firmware has optimized the wireless security part, you could factory reset range extender and resin tall it after router is on WPA-PSK (AES)
Reset : with RE powered on, use a pin to push the reset hole for 10 secs.
