Model: Archer T3U
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hi,

My T3U was working fine on my W10 computer until yesterday when I change RAM and W10 received one or several updates (?). Not fully sure about that.

Nevertheless, I end up facing the same issue faced by others:

- the dongle is not recognized by the PC (typical USB connection then disconnection sound from W10 is played)

- when launching the troubleshooting of W10, it ends up working for a while and then it disconnects again

I have updated the driver fof the T3U following different links and procedure (the one of the product support page, one in different post).

I even followed that FAQ: link

Still doesn't work.

Thanks for your help,

Pierre

@PierreCN  Hi,

With T3U plugged in, please check if adapter hardware is detected by your PC or not : Windows icon -> search" Device manager" -> Network adapter/Other device.

It could be shown  as "Tp-link Wireless XX "  or " 802.11n/ac" or its chipset model like RTLXX.

Plug the adapter to another USB port on your PC.

As a comparison, plug T3U into a different PC and see hardware is detected in device manager or not as well.

If hardware is detected, please double-click on tp-link adapter and check Device Status and send us a photo, and check share us a photo of the  driver date and motherboard info as this FAQ: How to check driver version of TP-Link adapters and system information of your computer?

@Solla-topee

Thanks. I got an newer driver via another channel and it seems to have fixed the issue. Will keep you posted if the problem arises again.

@Solla-topee I spoke too fast. The problem came back after a while, with the adapter disconnecting/reconnecting itself (USB connection lost, with the typical windows sound indicating it). Any idea what to do now?

@PierreCN Hi,

Thank you for your update,  after the Windows disconnection sound, please check can you find adapter  under

Device manager-> Network adapter/ Other? Double click on tp-link adapter and check the Device Status, is there any Error?

If possible, you could try this adapter on a different computer, and see if it could be always recognized .

May I have a photo of the computer motherboard information & driver date of your computer, thank you!
