Failed PPPoE connection on Archer VR1210v
Hi. I have a problem with this router (Archer VR1210v) : it randomly fails the pppoe connection to the provider (WindTre, in Italy), and does not connect until the device is turned off and on again. I've tried to wait for a long time (2 hours), but it doesn't connect. With the two latest firmwares the problems occurs much more frequently (with v1_2.0.0 0.9_v6041.0_Build_201218 and v1_2.0.0 0.9_v6041.0_Build_200629_Rel.2756n ). Instead with the firmware v1_2.0.0.0.9_v6041.0_Build_200320_Rel.6025n the problem is less frequent, but it happens about 30% of the time I turn on the router. I have already contacted the provider which ruled out problems on the line (FTTC 200 mbps, VDSL2). The connection of the carrier signal occurs without problems: the DSL LED is on, steady. The problem is only on the PPPoE connection. I do not understand why the router does not retry the pppoe connection, and a restart is always required. It would be enough to try the connection again.
