Hi everybody.

I have a network on my router named "yjo" (5GHZ, everything works well)

I have an extended network on my RE450 named "yjo_ext" (5GHZ as well of course, everything works well)

I connect to network yjo_ext. Then i launch the url "http://tplinkrepeater.net/". I get the logon page, i use the right logon/pwd. I can navigate only a few seconds till everything is frozen. I don't have the time to go to the DHCP settings and set it off (but that is another story)

My wifi connection has not changed. I am still using yjo_ext. Yet when i relaunch the url "http://tplinkrepeater.net/" this time i reach the explanation page on the internet that says that i should connect to the extended network in order to get access to the web admin page of my extender.

Why does this only work for a few seconds while i am still on the wifi's extended network ?

Thank you.

@yjo Hello,

Thank you for your detailed post and feedback. The problem sounds quite unusual.

You could clear browser history and cache before login tp-link web page and try a different web browser

Please also try a different device like a different laptop / mobile phone to login.

You could try to find the IP address of range extender on main router's Client list and login via RE's IP address and see that helps.

Btw, range extender uses smart DHCP and it will turn off its own DHCP when it detects another DHCP Server/router, so normally we do not need to manually turn that off.
