Model: Deco X20
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.0.6 Build 20210424 Rel. 55515

After updating firmware of my two Deco X20 to 1.0.6 Build 20210424 Rel. 55515 the internet connection speed dropped to 60 - 80 MBits. Before it was up to 290 MBits (which is near the maximum of my provider).

How can I solve that? Restarts did not work. Before with 1.0.5 it was fine.

@TP-Link

After disconnectiig main deco's ethernet cable from router and reconnecting it, the port is 1000 MBits and internet connection speed test ist 280 MBits. So after firmware upgrade the ports connection was downgraded to 100 MBits.

@DarthSonic

Hi,

Since there Is the first time that we got this feedback, please help me check the following details:

  1. Did Deco X20 work on the wireless router mode or access point mode?
  2. What is the internet speed test on Deco APP?
  3. Did both wireless and Ethernet connections have a slow speed?
  4. If only leaving the main Deco and turn off the 2.4ghz, how much speed you can get?

If there are any QoS settings, please remove QoS settings: Deco APP>>>QoS>>>(Set Application priority to Standard, Remove all high priority devices, set the Bandwidth to 1000Mbps upload and 1000Mbps download)

Thank you very much.

    Access Point

  2. What is the internet speed test on Deco APP?

    86,9 MBits Download, 50,4 MBits Upload (before > 250 MBits Download)

  3. Did both wireless and Ethernet connections have a slow speed?

    Unfortunately I can only speed test with wireless devices.

  4. If only leaving the main Deco and turn off the 2.4ghz, how much speed you can get?

    Can't test that yet. Working in home office with two persons. Will update later.

@TP-Link

It seems that ethernet port of Deco X20 does only work with 100 Mbits instead of 1000 Mbits since the firmeware update!? Port of my router is 1000 MBits. For ethernet backhaul I am using CAT7 cable and for router to deco I am using the cable out of the deco box.

This worked for me (disconnecting and reconnecting the Ethernet at the cable modem) but the problem only materialised after I experienced a total power outage today in my property for about 20 mins.
