Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.3.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 210208 Rel.61056n

Hello,

Unable to lock specific LTE bands in MR600v2 i.e Band 3 and Band 40. The same was possible with beta firmware in MR600v1. Can I use V1 beta firmware in V2?

Thanks,

Waibhav

@Waibhav

Generally, whether the bands aggregate or not, and how these bands are aggregated with each other, are decided by the cellular tower, the router only sends the request to the cellular tower in your area.

Just to confirm, do you mean you can get band 3 + band 40 on the older MR600 v1 beta firmware?

Can we have a screenshot of the Advanced > Status page when choosing band 3 and band 40 manually? How about other bands, such as band 3 + band 40?

Here is the screenshot for your reference. Carrier aggregation with different bands was possible in beta firmware for MR600v1 router. Individual band lock option was available the Basic tab as shown below.

It will be great if similar functionality is included either through official or beta firmware with MR600v2. Thank You!

Do you mean this option is not available on the newly released MR600 v2? Can we have the screenshot about the Advanced > Network > Internet page? You can refer to the screenshot we posted here:

Hello,

On the Advanced page, there is an option to select bands, not to lock a particular band as it was there in the Basic page of the beta firmware of MR600v1. Here is the screenshot of the MR600v2:-

After selecting the Band 3 and Band 40 manually on the Advanced page and save it, did you reboot the router? You may try to click on System Tool > Reboot, then confirm if it will display a Band 3,40 on the Status page.

Yes. Tried that as well. But it remains in Band 40 always.

I see. If that is the case, we would like to investigate this on our end as well. When you have time and if you are willing can you please reply the email that we sent to you previously? The engineers will help follow it up. Thanks.

Hi Joseph,

I also followed up with TP-Link support multiple times regarding but they are not willing to include individual band lock feature for MR600v2.

Regards,

Waibhav

My issue regarding lock specific LTE bands in MR600v2 is resolved. It was software issue. Solution: Please use Firefox browser(89.0.2,Firefox Release, June 23, 2021) to access http://192.168.1.1/ and please select network band by double-click check box by mouse. Then band will added successfully to configuration of router. Note for Indian customer: Jio: Band 3,5 & 40– Jio enabled Carrier aggregation in their All Bandwidths, Airtel: 1,3,5,8,40– Airtel Enabled Carrier Aggregation in Band 3, 40 only, Vodafone Idea: 1,3,8,40,41– Vodafone Idea enabled carrier aggregation in their 20mhz network. Regards, Joseph
