HELP!! Can't forward port 80
HELP!! Can't forward port 80
2021-06-01 23:01:04
Model: Deco M9 Plus
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.1 Build 20210126 Rel. 59387

I am trying to set up a Docker lab to work on my computer science degree.

I have been searching all over this site, Google and Duck Duck Go for 2 weeks. I have called my ISP (they assured me that they are not blocking port 80). I have deleted and reinstalled my Linux OS and the docker service more times than I can count. I have rebooted my modem and Decos' before and after making changes.

I can not get port 80 to open. Some of the apps I need to master will only listen on port 80. I have tried to get them to work on alternative ports to no avail. I can't see any other way to achieve this, short of replacing my entire network infrastructure. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

@andywa206

If you are using Deco with an ISP router.. you will likely need to set up 2x forwarding rules to avoid the double NAT scenario

1. ISP Router to Deco Main  eg.. port 80 to 192.168.68.1

2. Deco to the Server    eg..   port 80  192.168.68.123

@Philbert Thank you but that is not an issue. My ISP is only supplying the modem. I have a "Main" Deco connected directly to the modem.

@andywa206

Hi, have you tried to connect the laptop to the modem directly and check whether you could make the Docker lab server work properly?
