Model: Archer AX20  
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: Archer AX20(US)_V1.2_210304

Updated unit with new firmware version of Archer AX20(US)_V1.2_210304 , in the feature list it's added with new VPN Client function.

Tried to configure it on GUI and uploaded OVPN config file from VPN-provider.

Input also the credentials for using the service. The OpenVPN client and credentials work normally on a usual computer though.

 

Are there any specific format for TP-LINK router on OVPN config file ?

Anyone can support and help me on setting up this new VPN Client function on AX20 (HW ver. 1.2)

Can we confirm which step did you stuck with when configuring the VPN Client on the AX20? What kind of VPN you are using, OpenVPN or PPTP VPN? Please check the size of the VPN Configuration profile you are trying to upload to the router, you may download and install the Notepad+ application to delete the useless comment in the profile if the file is too large.

 

BTW, what kind of  VPN Client software you were using on the local PC?

I'm using OpenVPN vpn to connect.


Successfully upload the configuration OVPN file into router and unable to get the status to "Connected" 

After I toggle enable, it will be status "Connecting" only. 

Do you have a sample OVPN file format to connect via OpenVPN on VPN Client feature of AX20 ?

May I know the OpenVPN Client you are using on the usual computer?

Hi,

 

Yesterday my AX20 menu pops up a new version on top of the beta firmware.

After the update the VPN Client cfg file couldn't connect again.

 

Beta was ok.

 

Please advise if the latest firmware released can use ?

If that is the case, I think this fix was not included in the recent new official firmware, you can install the beta firmware again on the router, and wait for the next official.

Got it will use beta if want to VPN Client & will also wait for next official release to fix it. Thank you.👍
