Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580

I have a 2-pack Deco M4 initially installed and I updated the firmware to the latest one 2 days ago (1.5.0 Build 20210511 Rel. 34580)

Today, I bought another M4 unit and installed it as a new satellite Deco upstairs. But the last Deco has an outdated firmware (1.1.8 Build 20191102 Rel. 58333).

I cannot find a way to sync the firmwares of all the Decos. It bothers me a lot. Tried updating thru the app and it keeps telling me that I have the latest firmware.

Hi, the new Deco you have bought is built with the ISP-customized firmware in PHILIPPINES which could not be updated to the generic firmware;

So was it bought from your internet service provider?

There is a Poland user with a similar case

The first two was bought from a retail store: https://shopee.ph/Tp-Link-Deco-M4-2-pack-AC1200-Whole-Home-Mesh-Wi-Fi-System-i.6562415.2726707742 And the last one was bought from an individual seller from Facebook Marketplace so I'm not sure where the seller got it. I am not aware that ISP-customized units will have firmware update issues like this. Should I expect impact on the network performance because of this? What can I do?

For the ISP-customized firmware—1.1.8, it does not support web UI and any new features mentioned on the firmware 1.5.x or 1.4.x, it would not be supported either;

Returning this unit back to Facebook would be good option;

Thanks.
