e.. I am unable to configure it as I dont have the Web based GUI
I know that you haven't GUI interface, then you can use TFTP or SSH if you know PUTTY. In default configuration openwrt hasn't password. This is not easy for inexperienced people.
SSH - proposition back to the original firmware - LINK

Ok i tried the method but it doesnt seems to recognise the command PSCP.EXE in the line ( PSCP.EXE -p wr741nv4_en_3_12_11_up(120320).bin root@192.168.1.1:/tmp )
Do I have to download the software PSCP?
And where should I put the firmware file in my PC?
I mean that Dont I need to mention the path of the Firmware in the command?

PSCP is a backup, you don' t have to do that.
scp wr741nv1_en_3_11_1_up(100312).bin root@192.168.1.1:/tmp - copy firmware to tmp in your router.
cd /tmp
mv wr741nv1_en_3_11_1_up(100312).bin tplink.bin
scp wr741nv1_en_3_11_1_up(100312).bin root@192.168.1.1:/tmp - copy firmware to tmp in your router.
cd /tmp
mv wr741nv1_en_3_11_1_up(100312).bin tplink.bin

Yes i entered the command "scp wr741nv1_en_3_11_1_up(100312).bin root@192.168.1.1:/tmp " and it says "no such file or directory has been found"
I have given the exact firmware name. I have downloaded the firmware and extracted it in the "Downloads" folder. My PUTTY software is also in "Downloads" folder. Please help
