Onemesh should work via ethernet on all routers and extenders even older ones

I have 2 routers old ax10 new ax 73 and 3 range extenders. The ethernet backhaul on the ax10 as well as the range extenders would be really helpful.

Why is this not already supported? Having a mesh network without the ability to link nodes via internet feels entirely inadequate for a long term solution

  @David-TP

Hi David,

I can see the Archer AX72 does support easy-mesh on the 2023-07-07 firmware update, but what about the AX73-V1(EU)???

Are you planning to release the same features on the newer model firmware updates in the near future?

Cheers

N

As of today's firmware update, the AX73 V1 does support EasyMesh.

Seems like the tpLink tech guys have responded to my previous post.

@ All: AX73 EU v1 also has a firmware update to support "EasyMesh", but from what I read what "EasyMesh" is; still NO ethernet backhaul, so personally for me a worthless firmware update but maybe others are happy now.

Pardon me, I wrote Ax75 instead of Ax73V1. You’re right, no Ethernet backhaul.

I have EAP 225's in my house a great piece of kit. I recently decided I wanted to explore turning them into a mesh. I have hard wired these EAP's back to the switch connected to my router. I was more than a little bit surprised to learn that I could not mesh them in this config. As others had said I have thick walls and a big house, my office is 40m from the main building and a wireless mesh would be significantly reduced network speed. If you provide this feature I will purchase one of your routers immediately and mesh my entire property but without it I am stuck on separate SSID's because client roaming is not good enough.
