I have the tp link re650. It works perfect by day to my iPad 

Overnight it disconnects and l have to turn off router to reconnect to iPad.

Any solution to this please as it is very annoying?

Hey@Pat. 

May I know how about the Leds status when RE lose Internet, did all the network device lose connection, or only iPad?

Hey@Pat. if the issue is only with iPad,  you could try to set a fixed IP address on iPad like below and see if that helps with stability, and you could also try to reach apple support and see they have more suggestions. 

WiFi settings -under IPV4 Address- Configure IP- change Automatic to ' Manual'

  • IP address: set an IP within router's IP range
  • Subnet :255.255.255.0
  • Router: IP of router
  • DNS:8.8.8.8

Thanks again for your help. I suspected a problem with router. I got in touch with my ISP and they suggested resetting the modem. I did that yesterday and everything was fine this morning. I will see how it goes the next few days and hopefully this will fix my issue. Cheers.

Hi, Everything was perfect for a week.It then lost connection and kept coming on and off. I unplugged extender from the wall and then replugged -and everything was perfect again. Does this suggest the problem is with the extender? And if this happens occasionally is it ok to replug extender? Thank you.

Hi @Pat. 

It's ok to restart the extender if that helps.  When there is no Internet, how about the LED status on Range extender ?

I suggested trying some suggestion steps mentioned in guide below, some of them are approved to be working by our users:

@Solla-topee Hi, Thanks for reply. It dropped connection today after nearly two weeks. The extender is fine in my music room. My iPad loses connection when l move into my music room away from my router. When l go back nearer to the router my iPad reconnects to router.lm not sure if it is an issue with my iPad!!!!!
