Hi I have a mercusys ac1200 Halo 12 3 pack  whole home mesh...i had a lot of drop outs on my standard Virgin Hub and bad coverage and was advised to go for a separate router or mesh...i tried a to link router but still probs, so I tried the mesh..the coverage is now excellent but I am suffering with speeds. I had a 100mbps service and got about 80-90 mbps via wifi, which was acceptable, however I still got drop outs so virgin have increased my speeds to  350 mbps my speeds have increased when tested on the old hub but through the mesh they have fallen to between 50-70 mbps download , whilst the upload have increased from 10 to 40 mbps..i will be changing my ethernet cable from cat5 to cat 7..I have read the router only has a 100mbps ethernet socket, but it is claimed it will give speeds off over a 1000...am missing something, a setting perhaps or do I have the wrong set up...many thanks ...ps sorry about long post

Hello, thanks for asking questions on the TP-Link community.

As far as I can confirm the Halo S12 is equipped with 2 10/100 Mbps ports per Halo unit (WAN/LAN auto-sensing), which is going to be a bottleneck for you. It would be better to upgrade to something with a 1GB port if you get a speed of 350Mbps.

You can check the product specifications on their website:

To know more about the difference between the Ethernet speed and wireless speed, you can check this article:
