The Deco M9 has USB ports that cannot be used for network storage, yet the descriptions for the ports say "for future use". I'm wondering if anything is in the horizon regarding those USB ports? Network storage would be a great addition to the router!

Hi, as far as I know, no, there has been no further plan about network storage yet and it is still only used as a USB charging port.

@dgazaille They are useless, just for a 5V ouput, which @TP-Link can deside to cut off, just becasue that.

Yes, it was promised at the beginning it is for "future use", because you know - it is "IoT router" *cough*

Hello, the Deco M9 plus has an extra USB 2.0 port. While there is no software functions added for the USB 2.0 port yet. It's reserved for adding file sharing features in future firmware updates.

 

However, the USB 2.0 can charge some mobile devices such as phones.
