Sorry but I'm pretty computer illiterate. I'm using both iPad and iPhone in my home. I bought this product because I am unable to stream internet out on my patio. I can't seem to find out how to tell if I am connected or if the booster is working.

Here is an instruction to help you check if Range extender has connected to Wi-Fi router. 

Part3: How to Check if Range Extender has Successfully Connected to Wi-Fi router

 

If you are not sure if network device is connected to range extender, you could download Tether app (Tether APP compatibility)and see if device in client list of RE.

Or try to change Wireless settings for range extender at first:
