Archer VR2100v DHCP reservation problems with HIKVISION cameras
Hi,
I just purchased a TP Link Archer VR2100v to replace my failing Netcomm NF18ACV. The TP Link is failing to assign reserved DHCP addresses to 4 of my 5 HIKVISION cameras. Has anyone else had problems with this model of router and DHCP address reservation?
The router itself sits on 192.168.1.254 and I have a DHCP pool setup between 192.168.1.60 and 192.168.1.199.
I have 7 reserved addresses for the 5 cameras and 2 other devices. All are acquiring their reserved IP address except for 4 of the 5 HIKVISION cameras (they are all different models).
The reservations for my HIKVISION cameras are on:
192.168.1.65 – Working
192.168.1.66 – Not working
192.168.1.67 – Not working
192.168.1.68 – Not working
The TP Link system log shows that the cameras are sending DISCOVER broadcasts and the TP Link seems to be sending an OFFER response with the correct IP address but the cameras never acquire the address.
These cameras acquire the correct IP addresses if I put my old Netcomm NF18ACV back in.
I'm starting to regret buying the TP Link router as I also cannot get it to register my SIP account.
